Hospital negligence ?

Question

A few days ago, a CC member posted about the poor young woman who passed away at Bakersfield Memorial Hospital. Who was given fentanyl. 
Well. this past Friday, just a few days ago, a male passed away at the same hospital, and was given fentanyl. 
I’m from Bakersfield, born and raised. And without a doubt, this hospital is one of the most disgusting places someone can go to. 
They’re going to do a sorry on it at 11pm tonight, and here it is currently 9:12pm. 
I’ll update this post once the story comes out.

One still can't say it's negligence... Without a medical history of these patients, what he was actually there for, a clue of what actually was given and dosages one literally can't say. Maybe he took something before he was admitted, maybe it is negligence. 
People die in hospitals, that's something that's unavoidable and having two deaths that both has a widely used pain medication administered still, to me, doesn't say the hospital is negligent.
I'm going to reserve further comment until the full story comes out.

I would be interested in seeing any toxic screenings done for these people. Almost seems like it was a drug interaction.

I wouldn’t consider it negligence. This is a powerful drug. Either they have drugs in their system people aren’t aware of, they had a reaction, or there are people working there whom aren’t paying attention to the dosages. 
Or we could go to the slight extreme and say someone is medically killing patients for pleasure. 
The hospital does need an investigation though, absolutely.

This is NOT a new thing This has been going on for years and Is just now getting light 
I went in for vomiting Blood ans a ulcer and they gave me fetenyal and didnt tell me till AFTER This is bullshit they are playing God and I'll be damned someone ever gives me Fetenyal being in Recovery for 1 and 2nd as for it being used as a pain med becuz it has less of a addiction effect SO THEY SAY

I’ll reserve judgment until more info comes out, but hopefully a full investigation will tell us what happened. Fentanyl is a very powerful drug.  Maybe it was an interaction due to the patient omitting drugs taken prior to coming to the hospital. Maybe the doctor wrote a wrong dose. Maybe a nurse gave a wrong dose.  Maybe it was due to a condition they didn’t know they had.  We can’t judge until all the info is out there.

We talked about this at work. 
Everyone I work with believes this has more to do with being understaffed and people not being truly honest in what they are putting in their bodies. 
Yes there could be some negligence but we can’t say that without knowing patient history.

I’ll wait for the facts to come out before I make any kind of judgment. It’s so easy to point fingers. There’s no telling whether or not it was actually do to the medication, or He could have taken something and not disclosed it causing an interaction OR it’s completely unrelated.
