trouble sleeping
currently 22 weeks pregnant & cannot sleep for the life of me. this sleep pattern probably started around 18-19 weeks. i could fall asleep around 11 PM & then be wide awake for no reason from 1-5 AM & then fall asleep again for another two hours. i started taking one benadryl a night & noticed that when i wake up my eyelids feel heavier, but it doesn’t make me fall asleep faster or keep me asleep longer. benadryl used to work wonders for me before i got pregnant but now it does nothing. i also don’t take any naps during the day, i can’t nap even when i try & the fatigue is getting to me. i don’t drink any caffeine or exercise late at night or do anything else that i can think of that would disrupt my sleep.
i know pregnancy is a time of body changes, but i’m hoping for some relief. any recommendations for any safe supplements/drinks, activities, anything that can help with this?? i’m desperate, these last couple of months are the last few months of my life that i can actually get a good nights sleep before baby gets here. 😂
