Bleeding first trimester

Wondering if anyone had anything similar happen, I had some light brown discharge for about 3 days earlier in the week. Last night it turned Into bright red bleeding, there were no clots and I had no cramping, it didn’t fill a pad. I called the doctor and she said to keep an eye on it, and if it got worse to call back. This morning it’s just like brown discharge again, definitely darker than it has been but there’s no red blood anymore. Has anyone ever experienced this? I’m 6 weeks 4 days.
