Former teachers now stay at home mom?
This could be answered by non-teachers too! My little one is almost 4 months old. I have been an art teacher at my school for 3 years now. I had my baby in October of 2019 and have been on a leave without pay since and will be up until the summer. I’m highly considering putting in my leave at the beginning of summer and being a stay at home mom for a couple of years. I really just want to be with my daughter and raise her. My husband is 100% on board. He has a job that pays well and could support is fairly well.
My heart really wants to stay with her, but I also worry about how leaving teaching for a few years would affect my retirement. Or I have guilt about letting down my principals and students. Are there any moms that left their career to be a SAHM? Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated ❤️
