Coronavirus travel?

So hi, I’m supposed to be going to Tokyo in May with my husband for our second honeymoon. With the coronavirus, I’m nervous about going slightly because of the outbreaks and being sick. 
My husband isn’t concerned at all, but I mean, is it safe to go to Tokyo in May? We really don’t want to cancel the trip.

Hard to say what conditions will be like a couple months from now. Odds are it’ll die down as cold and flu season starts to fade but it’s not like it’s just going to disappear.
I wouldn’t cancel the trip but I’d just be extra cautious to wash your hands before you eat, not touch your face in public, etc. Coronavirus is really just a bad flu and should be treated as such. Behave how you would if you knew there had been a flu outbreak.

There are already 100s of cases in the US. You are way more likely to die of the flu than the coronavirus. Dont put your lives on hold out of fear of a virus. Go to Tokyo. Experience the culture and have fun.

Japan is completely different from China. They also protect their borders pretty well. You'll be safe.

My friends trip to Japan was just cancelled, so I would check with the airlines. But hopefully come May things will be better!
