Not hearing baby cry at night

My baby is 9 weeks old (still on maternity leave) and for almost a week now I don’t hear my baby cry in the middle of the night wanting to eat-side note: the bassinet is right next to my bed. My husband has been getting up to feed what I have pumped the day before. He is starting to get crabby due to lack of sleep and doesn’t understand how I don’t hear our baby cry.

Is it normal not being able to hear her?
