Newborn rash?

My first son never had any rashes or anything, just a few white heads on his face. I know newborn rashes are normal but I’m not sure if this looks like a rash or reaction? Should I call his doctor? I don’t want to overreact but I hate thinking he’s uncomfortable.

I called and they said it’s just a newborn rash & to keep it dry. It’s getting a lot better! Thank y’all for the advice 😊

Could be the washing powder you are using.

I would call regardless just to be sure. But other things to watch for is if he’s eating normal, going to the bathroom normal, and check temperature regularly.

My daughter had that twice now she’s 15 months she first had it at 10-11 months I believe and recently again I thought it was scarlet fever but it went away in a day or two and she only got it both times with the same super warm pajama onesie so I assume it’s a heat rash I haven’t put that outfit on her since and she’s been fine. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I keep my house pretty warm and out rooms get so hot at night so it was definitely a heat rash

This is actually kinda common, my baby had it when she was 3 weeks old, it went away on its own, make sure you mositurise the skin well

Are you nursing or formula feeding? It could be him reacting to something you’re eating or drinking if you nurse or a reaction to his formula which ever you use. Does he seem uncomfortable? It wouldn’t hurt to call in and just explain what’s happening and they can tell you if you should go in.

Mine has something similar right now. I just try to make sure it stays dry... it isn’t bothering her and it’s going away, so I’m not worried. But if you are, you can always ask your pediatrician! :)
