Broke up because of long distance

Hey all, firstly id like to say that I 0/10 recommend LDR because they emotionally fuck you up

I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years, hes my best friend since school and once we went to different countries for uni we realized we really wanted to be together. Initially I didn’t mind the long distance because we used to visit each other every 3 months during breaks..but handling this for 2 years already is too much!! He’s even going to do his masters and PhD, that’s a total of 4 years long distance!!

Yesterday I decided we should take a break because all ivebeen is just an emotional rollercoaster but he was okay with it, says he’s happy when I’m happy and that me being emotionally stable is his number 1 priority..

I love him so much but I can’t deal with the long distance, and I wanted to take ur opinion about this, because I’m such a confused person..
