MIL hand feeds grown son
Hey girls!
So this is a bit new to me. I know parents can hand feed their babies/toddlers, but it’s unusual for me to see my mil feed my husband. Don’t get me wrong, some may think it’s cute and all, but the thing is we eat with our hands. So she’ll eat, essentially get her saliva and whatever germs from her mouth on her hand, then gather more food and stick it into my husband’s mouth.
EDIT****SHE DOESNT FEED HIM THE WHOLE TIME LOL I MUST CLARIFY!!! WE ALL HAVE OUR OWN PLATES, but sometimes I guess he’ll be playng video games and she’ll walk around eating something then give him some too****
Am I being too ocd/germaphobic right now, or is this weird? I just keep thinking like it was ok to do as a kid but he’s an adult now and if she happens to be sick he can get sick too.. would he ever say “no, you’re sick,” I feel like he wouldn’t want to hurt her feelings but where’s the common sense then? Also, I think I saw her pour someones leftover food into the pot with clean food. I’m paranoid about spreading germs or even HSV1 from cold sores like that (nobody has it from what i know) but not sure if it could spread like that if someone did have it. Thoughts?
****I just LOLd thinking ya’ll probably sitting there imagining him sitting in a high chair being fed by his mom while we all eat from our own plates
