Relationship & the family

I've been with my man for a year and we live together. His dad's health is declining and I'm the one to take him to his appointments. well today we have another appointment and it's a big one, I asked if my bf was going with and he said no. Some time passed and we begin to talk about the outcomes of the appointments and test and I told him imma need his and his brothers help if it is bad results. He said i was complaining about taking his dad to his appointments. I dont understand how that's complaining. He then said hes going to a friends house and I'm like yet you couldnt go with us today? I just feel like I'm doing all this stuff (work, school, and taking care of his dad all by myself)
