Pls help false negative????

Hi all, so I just wanted to make a post on here to see y’alls thoughts.

So I had my yearly appointment with my gyno and I always do the swab test for any stds or other issues.... I never worry because I have been in a 3 1/2 year relationship with my boyfriend. I have never been sexually active with anybody else. He has been my first for everything.

I get a call a few days later that I tested positive for chlamydia... I’m livid and he tells me he slept with someone else unprotected not very long ago.. and we had been intimate since that occurrence (which I didn’t know about)

He goes and gets tested a few days later but his results come back NEGATIVE saying he is clean. I am so confused how I tested positive but he didn’t. He goes on to text me (we are broken up) saying how he is unsure if he actually slept with that girl and is foggy about what actually happened. He never tells the truth.

I could have only contracted this from him. I’m calling my doctor tomorrow to see what she has to say and if somehow maybe my lab tests got switched up or if there’s another way I could have contracted this.

Everything I am seeing you literally have to be intimate with someone else who was a carrier and I was never a carrier in the first place.
