Period extremely late? Spotting? Help???

My period was late 40 days and i was going to make an appointment Monday but on the 40th day i bled a small small amount like there was only blood when i wiped and maybe 30 minutes later the bleedimg stopped well now its 2 days later and im bleeding heavier but not quite a full blown period yet i was wondering if anyone has had anything similar and any advice? I have taken multiple pregnancy tests and they were all negative
