Has anyone else experienced this ?

Soooo before birth control my period would be 6-7 days. But my first month of birth control I spotted for a day bled through like 4 maxi pads for the 2 and 3 day then had old blood the 4th... is that normal for my period to get shorter so quick ?

Yes because it’s not the same as a normal period. The pill makes you stop ovulating, which also prevents the lining in your uterus to become thicker. Essentially as you take the pill, your periods will get lighter and lighter as the shedding of the uterine lining is minimal because it will not thicken like normal. After taking it for many years some have virtually no period at all. I’ve been on it for 3 years and have 1-3 day periods that are light or just spotting.
