Does anyone else get intense mom guilt about their pets?

My cats don’t really get along very well. We are working on it but I constantly feel like I’m hurting one of them. They are kept mostly separate and we swap territories and do things with/for them that they enjoy to foster positive associations with each other. Once they (it really is one cat not liking the other so technically he) stops hissing at the scent of him we’ll move to sight swapping with the same positive associations. Anyway, when swapping the territories one or the other always meows desperately and it makes me feel so guilty.

If my cats make me feel like a horrible mom I can only imagine how I’m going to feel when my baby gets here. 😭
