Normal or no?

Hello,

My first post to this board ...I'm at a loss..

My baby is 7 weeks 4 days based on his birth date but 6 weeks 4 days based on his actual due date.

For the past week and a half, he has been extremely fussy and waking himself up at night. If I pick him up, he just farts a bunch and then falls asleep in my arms. If I try to put him back down in his bassinet, he wiggles, grunts, and cries. Sometimes he'll just fart while he's laying there but he keeps crying. I pick him up again after trying to calm him and he farts again and falls asleep in my arms, I try to put him down and repeat crying, etc.

Any idea how to tell if this is just his 6-8 week fussiness or if this is formula related? (He's on Gerber GoodStart Pro ready to feed). I exercise his legs basically all day as an "activity", he has a warm bath at the end of the night, and he gets gas drops a few times a day.

I just can't tell if he's in pain and it's a formula thing or if this is just normal gas pain fussiness?

He used to at least give us a 3-5 hour stretch of sleep but as of last week, he won't sleep longer than an hour and a half. 😳

Also, his naps are maybe 30 min max unless I'm wearing him. Any advice/Info would be appreciated. He was such a great baby up until a week and a half ago.

I took Taking Cara Babies but that stuff isn't working. 😞
