Any tube tying experience?

Just had my 1st baby about a month ago at the age of 30....I never wanted kids to begin with but I was blessed enough to have this little bundle of joy born on the day of me and my mom's birthday (crazy right?!?) Lol anyway I definitely don't want to have anymore and other birth control methods are a hassle to me...just wanted to see a different route and go for tying my tubes (although I wish they could have just removed my whole uterus lol) any experience in the process of getting it done? Thanks 😊

I had my tubes removed. I have no children though so I got denied for years (I know I want no children and have always knew). Only reason they let me finally is because I got diagnosed with BRCA 2, a genetic disorder. If your doctors are like mine were, they’ll scoff at you and say no. It’s hard getting anyone to take you seriously since everyone thinks women change their mind. I tried to plead medical problems prior but apparently the looming threat of death (I’m diabetic) if one becomes pregnant is not enough for doctors and their idiotic mindset on children. I hope your experience goes better than mind did, it was rough. Surgery is quite easy though. I had a partial hysterectomy, so my uterus is gone as well, but recovery was very quick for me.

My mom had her tubes tied in her late 20s, after my brother and I she knew she couldn’t handle anymore. It’s a day surgery, she has an incision scar less than an inch big just below her bellybutton. I think she took a week off work because she’s a nurse and has to lift patients, etc.

My aunt has her tubes tied after her first child. She has three now. It’s not always the most effective route

I was thinking about it but my midwife told me the premenopausal bleeding will probably cause me to put an iud in anyways so I’m just going to get the iud and worry about it again in five years. Good luck

I know a lot of doctors refuse the surgery unless there’s a health complication risk, and even sometimes then. I’ve never wanted my tubes tied or looked into it, but I’ve heard of a few women who have and everyone I know has been denied for it
