TTC After Miscarriage

I am wondering about ttc after miscarriage. I had a d&c on January 17th when we were 8 weeks pregnant but miscarried with a blighted ovum. Doc did not test hcg levels as they went down. I took home pregnancy tests every weeks to know when my levels went back to normal. They never did go completely negative. I had light spotting beginning feb 26th for 3 days and that’s what I thought was my period. March 14th I began cramping very badly and bleeding for about thirty minutes and then stopped. This happened again on the 16th and 18th. I was still having positive tests so I went to the doctor and they tested my levels and they were at 16 and said another miscarriage. We didn’t even know we were pregnant. This makes two miscarriages this year. They said wait another month and try again. If we get pregnant without waiting another cycle are the chances of miscarriage high?
