Which diaper for outside play?

I was wondering what type of diaper you put your LO in for running around the backyard and playing in water... she will be in and out of her kiddie pool this summer and will mostly be wearing her swimsuit. Do you always use a swim diaper??

When he's in the pool I use a swim diaper but when he's just playing with water, like at his water table we just use a regular diaper.

I use swim diapers for pool and water play. You could use a regular diaper for running around, but the swim ones are more compact and will come in handy for if you want to take the baby in the water spur of the moment. 
I cant wait for the warmer weather.

We never used swim diapers. Just straight bathing suit. 
We also dont go to public pools. Either our small personal one or to a beach
