CALLING ALL WOMEN WITH MIRENA IUD

Moms that have had experience with the Mirena: HELP

So, I have a question about my birth control.

I got it a year ago as of December, so roughly I would say about 15/16 ish months.

I have had a period every month since I had gotten the mirena.

Now, my period is 13 days late.

I took a pregnancy test about a few days after my period was due and it was negative.

Should I take another test?

I don’t think my dr is seeing patients right now due to COVID-19.

Has anyone else had this experience?

I mean, I really don’t think I am pregnant but I am nervous just because I have never missed a period so far since being on the mirena. I did have really light spotting 1 day and then again 2 days later which is about the time I should have gotten my period which is always heavier than that but still on the lighter side.

I did just feel the strings recently and as far as I know it is still in place.

I will obviously call the doctor if it becomes a bigger concern but for right now i’d rather avoid the drs if possible. I work in a hospital as it is and don’t want to expose myself to anything more than I already have to.
