Period length/quality

I have been on BC for about 5/6 years because my periods were very painful/heavy and very irregular. Being on BC, I’ve been having pretty light and 3 day periods. I took it but it wasn’t always on time and I would miss some. But for About 2 years I’ve been taking them regularly (usually writhing 3 hours) and the last 4/5 months I’ve been taking them every single day (pretty much) at the exact same time and my periods have been lighter and I’ve had less clots than usual. Is this normal? I mean it’s always been light and it always starts + or - 1 day my estimated start day so I believe it is me period just lighter. I have absolutely no signs of pregnancy and we use condoms with spermicide, plus we check them after and like I said I take BC. Should I see my gyno if I can or do you think my lighter period is due to me taking the pill more in time so it’s just the hormones doing their thing. This one was lighter than normal and I think it’s because of my hormones and I’ve been under tremendous stress but I would like some opinions.
