How often does your toddler (13-24 months) tantrum?

Taken on average. Not just a short cry they forget about or are distracted from within 20 seconds.
Post below for- How long do the tantrums last? What sort of things do they do (eg crying, throwing themselves on the floor, etc)?

My 18m old cries multiple times a day but is usually easily moved on. I’d say a tantrum - where he can’t be moved on within a short time frame- happens on average daily but it does depend. If he’s tired or unwell he’ll have multiple per day but then he’ll be fine for a day or two.
His tantrums generally go for a couple of minutes and he pretty much just sits down and cries/screams, sometimes while trying to point at what he wants or pushing away whoever is trying to get him to stop doing the dangerous thing he wanted to do.
Tantrums are common and normal in this age group. There is a lot of variation in kids personalities- some kids are just more expressive about their needs and wants than others. I was the “laid back one” growing up while my sister had lots of tantrums apparently. She’s no longer tantrums as an adult but is definitely better at being more assertive and getting her needs met as an adult than I am.

My son does several times a day but he is not allowed to act that way.  He will try throwing himself on the ground or stomping.  We stop him and tell him it's ok to be upset but it is not ok to throw a fit

Idk like 2-10 times a day. He also can’t talk yet at 19m which I’m sure contributes to it.

My 13 month old basically never has tantrums, I could count the times on one hand. I use redirection and hardly ever say no. I mainly say, “we don’t bite furniture we bite this toy”. And hand her whatever she can bite. And then use redirection to get her away from the situation entirely. Like pulling out a book or something. It honestly works and she doesn’t really do what I don’t want her to since she doesn’t get any extra attention for it.

Thankfully my 15 month old daughter doesn’t really have tantrums yet. She cries a bit, maybe 5 seconds, then moves on. One time she cried maybe 3 minutes bc I took something potentially dangerous from her outside that she really wanted. 
I have a friend whose toddler around 1 1-2-2 years old had daily, long screaming tantrums where nothing would make him calm down. It would be over the littlest things. He would just scream and cry and throw things for 10-20 minutes. He would be like this several times a day.
