Hospital stay during COVID

I spoke with the hospital I will be delivery at as i was told their were new policies in place . When I called I assumed that there new policies would include no visitors . To my surprise she told me that after the birth of my baby my husband must leave and will not be able to re renter. Once I’m released we will meet him at the front . This is my and his first child and I’m not comfortable with that at all . I understand that we must take precautions during this time but there screening both of us for COVID before we go on so why must he leave .

I’m at the point we’re this is making me really stressed I’m not sure if I could reason with them or if I should look for another hospital . Sorry if I seem dramatic but I’ve let many things go such as my baby shower and having my other support systems at the hospital but this is too much .

Any advice as to what I should do. I would like him to bond with his son as well.
