Have you done a genetic screening before?

So my doctor gave me some info on a genetic screening that I do a blood draw in the 1st trimester, then a ultrasound at 13 weeks, then another blood draw at 16 weeks. Did anybody do this? Were they able to tell gender?

I did NIPT and got my results at 12 weeks. Found out that baby was low risk for abnormalities and that I’m having a boy. Confirmed gender with ultrasound at 20 weeks, now 31😊

Yup I got mine done a couple weeks ago, I think I was 11 weeks. They drew blood and results came back a week or so later. Test came back Norman and it says I’m having a boy. I’ll still have tech confirm results at my anatomy scan in a couple weeks tho.

Is that test called a “harmony” test? My doctor referred me to a MFM  and I can do the genetic testing as well. I think I will. But I really wanted a gender reveal party.

I did it! Make sure they send your insurance with it. I got a bill for 2k with out insurance

Yes I did the test At 9 weeks and found out the gender a week later

This is the type of testing I had done. Gender was not given to me as an option, but that seems to be more typical in Canada.
