Some lady threatened to come in and beat our asses.

My coworker called late last night to let me know what went down. It was around 7:45, they were just about to start locking the doors and she came in. She had someone with her. This time her story was different, claiming I charged her once for her food but then charged her another $90, which is complete bullshit. A receipt would have printed, first of all, and my boss went through all the transactions from that day and there was no $90 charge. This chick is wacko. She tried coming behind the counter to get the money herself and then she also tried taking the phone from my coworker when she was calling the police. More racist comments. She was arrested, her friend ran out the door. I’m kinda sad this didn’t all go down when I was working🤣 my poor coworker is traumatized.

So I work at a cute little hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant in my cute little middle-of-nowhere town. It’s just my bosses, who cook and help serve when it gets busy, a few high school girls, and me.

With this craziness going on, we are obviously doing takeout only, but the younger girls couldn’t handle curbside pickup so we are asking people to come inside to get their food one at a time to comply with social distancing. Yesterday this woman came in while I was working, ordered a ton of food. Came to get it, paid, left. At 7:30 last night I get a call from the waitress that worked last night, that this woman called over and over again saying she was overcharged $15 and she was going to come the next day (today) to beat our asses, get us shut down, etc. My boss looked back at the credit card transaction and I charged her the correct amount. She wouldn’t accept that as an answer, called my boss many racist names and vowed to come kick our asses. So my boss called the police. An officer came and gave us a card with the number to call if she shows up. Last night when I heard all of this I was HOPING this bitch would come in while I’m working so I could bitch her out. My boss is 4 and a half feet tall and the sweetest little thing on the planet. She didn’t deserve any of that.

For some reason I have a very bad feeling this morning, telling me not to go in to work. I’m seriously considering telling my boss to close for the day, it’s that bad. I don’t know what has come over me. I’m supposed to be there in an hour. I have already dropped my son off at my mom’s. Am I overthinking? I would hate to voice my concerns to my boss and have them close for the day and lose business and it turn out she’s all talk and wasn’t actually going to come.
