Week 3.5 : Diaries of a new mom

Baby girl is going through a growth spurt and up eating every 1.5-2 hours. I’m exhausted. Last night the heat kicked on and I was burning up. I was changing her diaper and grabbed two wipes from the packet. One for her butt and one for my face to cool me down. I begin changing her diaper and she pees all over my side of the bed mid change. I get a new diaper, wipe her up and throw it all to the side so I can put her in her bassinet. My side of the bed is soaking in baby pee right where my stomach goes. I’m burning uo so i reach over and grab the wipe for my face and try to cool off a little before laying back down. I grab the dirty pee diapers and notice there’s a wipe underneath.. one that hasn’t been unfolded or used yet. Then I realize not only am I laying in pee I just wiped my face with the wipe I used to clean up her pee.... all I could do was laugh. At least she was asleep for now. So I grabbed another (clean) wipe and wiped my face laid in the baby pee and fell asleep until her next feeding 1.5 hours later.

Hopefully this was able to give someone a laugh. It’s funny what we’ll do when we’re tired
