Reflux without spit up/vomit?

Has anyone’s baby been diagnosed with reflux and didn’t have an issue with spit up or vomiting? I’m going to call his pediatrician today but he’s 3 weeks old and the past week he doesn’t sleep at all at night or whenever he’s laying on his back. He coughs, sounds like his chest is congested and then starts crying within 10 mins of being put down. We’ve tried gripe water, probiotics, inclining his mattress and mylicon drops. Nothing has worked... it seems like he has all the signs of reflux except he doesn’t spit up or vomit
