Pregnant for 9 or 10 months?

pregnancy lasts for 9 months. I keep finding posts where women are saying it last for 10. If you get a calender and count 40 weeks it equals 9 months. Every month has 4 weeks and some days. If every month had 28 days then we would be pregnant for 10 months.
