Do you think we could have gotten covid in January

So I don’t know I’m sure we didn’t but me and my husband were both sick mid January. Started with a scratchy throat for a few days, then coughing constantly. A deep horrible cough like waking up coughing so much felt I couldn’t breathe. Total loss of taste that lasted even after all other symptoms went away (the fever went away after 4 days. Cough lasted a week and a half. Loss of taste for 2 weeks) husband had the same. I can’t remember if I had a loss of smell I was very lethargic and tired during that time I just remember the loss of taste cause I had a mental breakdown I wanted to eat this soup I took forever to make and couldn’t taste it 😩😂 anyways should we get tested for covid antibodies? I think they are starting to do that around us I’m not sure. Was it even spreading then?
