My daughter lost her hearing all of a sudden

One day she told me she couldn’t hear that her ears got clogged so I didn’t think anything of it I thought maybe water went inside her ears. She’s 12 years old so sometimes when I call her or ask her for something she has a hard time hearing I have to repeat it twice so I asked her why she never listens to me cause I’m here thinking she’s just being in those preteen stages but she told me she lost her hearing she can’t hear good and it’s been a week. I told her try to yawn and see if it opens up and she said she tried that many times and nothing 😕 she looked like she wanted to cry now I’m worried what can be the cause of this? I’m planning to make an appointment with her doctor tomorrow just wondering if anyone knows what it can be?
