If a guy reminds you of your ex is it a bad sign?

I’ve had a friend ... who I was Interested in for a bit. Til I realized he’s exactly like my ex except way smarter. 
Isn’t that a bad sign?

Depends on how he reminds you of the ex. One of my exs was a very loving and generous man. Those are great qualities to look for in a partner. Another ex would drop anything to help a friend in need. Occasionally frustrating but very kind trait. Or are they bad traits?

Depending on why you broke up, it could be good or bad. Sometimes people just break up because they lost the spark, and in that case, it can be good. But if he has manitupative tendencies or abusive tendencies, run.

Depends on what the similarities are. Your ex had to have had some positive traits or you wouldn’t have dated in the first place, so it isn’t necessarily bad.
