How did newborn stage go if you had young kids at home?

My kids are going to be 2 years apart. 
With my first I definitely slept when he slept, I was so tired. I obviously won't be able to do that since I'll have my two year old to take care of this time around.
How do you cope? Is it easier to adjust to the sleep deprivation after your first? Worse?

My kids are 16 months apart and I'm currently 3 weeks PP. My SO helped a ton in the first week with our toddler and it was definently the most difficult time. My body has already adjusted to needing less sleep. I recommend getting a swing, bouncy chair, and baby wrap they are my saving grace right now.

I have 4 kids now and I remember the first being the hardest. I don’t know if it was because wasn’t use to it or what...
I find it much easier now. For some reason I can’t even nap if I try to force myself to. There are times where my older two are in school and the younger 2 are napping at the same time and I just can’t nap. 
Like my body doesn’t require as much sleep to function well as it use to.

It sucked. 😂 Mine are 23 months apart and I nearly went insane during maternity leave. I definitely had a harder time going from one to two, also the second was a harder sleeper (turns out our expectations were too high and my oldest was an exceptionally good sleeper lmao). Every situation is different though. You just get through it.

the baby is fine, its my 3 yr old not being quiet so she can take a real nap or running around so much she accidentally hitting the baby.. or she screams in her face & tries to hold her when im in the next room 🤦🏽‍♀️ they are pretty much the same.  new baby is just alil more greedy cause shes 100% breastfeed but she sleeps good at night

Mine are 15 months apart and it is definitely hard. My first is all over the place and there really is no time to relax. Luckily my SO is working from home so he helps out a lot with the older one while I tend to the baby. The newborn stage with this one is harder than my first, he doesn't sleep well at night and he wants to be held a lot during the day. I'm probably getting about 4 hours of sleep each night, maybe less, it's not fun but your body does adjust. I know it's not healthy to do that every day so I'm trying to get this baby on a schedule too.
