Toddler stuttering

So my 3yr old suddenly started stuttering. It was so weird because he started speaking full sentences at 20 months and never had an issue up until now. It takes him about a minute to ask me for something. Not sure what could be the cause. He’s a happy kid. I don’t spank him or yell at him he hardly ever get any timeout he’s a good kid. Any thoughts moms??

No, don’t just not worry about it. Take him to see a speech therapist they will tell you if it’s something To worry about or otherwise. 💗💗 Goodluck!

I wouldn’t worry much about it but keep an eye on it. His mind might be going faster than he is able to get things out of his mouth. Give it time and if it keeps going mention it to his ped.

If it keeps happening I would probably search for a speech therapist just to make sure everything's good

He may be having a hard time hesring or hes got anxiety. Stuttering can indicate either of those things

Stuttering doesn’t always mean he’s nervous. I have a nephew that stutters when he gets overly excited, his brain just can’t catch up to how quickly his mind is moving and it causes an issue with getting his words out. He did have speech delay and is in speech therapy, it’s all much better than it was when it started. Call about speech therapy and ask some questions they’ll be able to help you figure it all out

My daughter did this for a couple weeks, she is also 3 years old. I was getting concerned and was going to bring it up with her doctor but it went away and I forgot about it until I read your post. I’m from my experience with it it was just a short phase.
