Breastfed baby won’t take bottle PLEASE HELP 🤪

My son is 2 weeks old, I have breastfed him from the start even at the hospital he would not take a bottle. At 5 days old dr ordered to formula feed due to jaundice and I had a hard time trying to feed him because it was really hard to get him to latch to a bottle. So far I have tried 3 different kinds of bottles. Now at 2 weeks he will NOT take a bottle at all. I sometimes have to take medication and I have to pump and dump for a few hours so I need him to bottle feed, also wanting him to take a bottle for when I pump and go back to work.

What can I do to try to get him to both bottle feed and breastfeed?

You can try MAM bottles , the nipple is very similar to a mother nipple . My son was so used to just breast that when I was too exhausted to breastfeed I switch to breast milk in bottle and had a hard time till someone recommended the brand mam

The only bottles my son will take is Avent Naturals. Try a couple different ones, babies can be picky. Also, are you trying to do just formula in the bottle? It could be that he doesn't like the taste because it's very different than breastmilk. You could try a bottle with breastmilk until he gets used to the bottle and then mix breastmilk and formula and then give him just formula so that he slowly adjusts to the difference in taste.

I breastfed with my daughter and she would never take a bottle from me; it was like she knew I had breasts so she didn’t want a bottle from me at all. My husband was able to feed her a bottle though, or his parents when I went back to work. If you have anyone that could try to feed him, I would see if that makes a difference. We also used advent natural bottle. I hope you’re able to find something to help, I know it can be so stressful and frustrating.

Both my sons favorite bottles were/are nuk. But you just gotta keep trying. Baby will take it eventually and realize it’s the same stuff

I was successful with the Dr. Brown's bottles for both my girls. Plus they aren't too wide so that when they wanted to feed themselves when they hot older they could get their hands around it. Good luck!

I’ve heard great things about the MAM brand.
