Need advice please

New to posting so I guess I’ll start with some background info?

My husband and I have been ttc for over two years and this year he suggested I get tested to make sure everything was as it should be. I got the Clean bill of health.

A little bit after my appointment he had a week of muscle aches, stomach pain, and intense ball pain. He went to the doctor ASAP. We then found out He has enlarged veins, they caused his pain and discomfort and have been affecting his sperm. We found out our options. He can have an outpatient surgery that should fix the problem veins and that should prevent anymore pain and help his sperm, or we can do nothing and it will probably get worse over time.

Hearing that it’s an outpatient I felt so relieved! But he won’t call his doctors office again? He didn’t like that it was surgery and he still has to do a full lab test before we even get to that point.

He knows I’ll never make him do anything he doesn’t want to but I really don’t want to see him in pain again and the doctor said it would keep happening. And I know he’s beating himself up that we’re still not pregnant. I told him we could try supplements but he said he’d call and get it set up. That was in March. Every time I ask about it he says he’ll call later.

Any advice on how to offer him support or what I can do would be appreciated!
