How much did you make when starting out??

What was your career and how old were you?
(Hope this isn't too much of a personal question)

I’m an MRI technologist. School for 2 years and now my salary is about 65,000. Not including over time or on call. Generally pay is $32 an hour but with a few years of experience and depending on location it goes up to $70 an hour.

I'm a dental assistant. Started at $12/hr 7 years ago and have worked my way up to over $22/hr 🦷

As a new grad (business degree) I made like $28,000 as a receptionist/admin assistant at an investment brokerage. But I did have very good health/dental benefits, 3 weeks paid annual vacation, sick/personal days, and they paid for some certifications that lead to a better paying job down the road. 
The money was shit but it was perfect as an entry level position with no related work experience. I learned a lot and actually really enjoyed the job.

Bachelors degree in criminal justice..working as a social worker for adults. Roughly 35k and I'm salary so no overtime pay.

I’m a teacher and a photographer. I started my teaching job when I was 20 and in college(also that was shortly after I got married too) but I was only do preschool. Now I’m a 6th grade teacher. I started doing photography when I had my first kid so I could make some money during the summer when I wasn’t teaching.

And I actually got PAID each semester for going to school!!! Working trade jobs are where the money is at these days! Cant go wrong! Tennessee promise allowed me to attend school for free and good grades helped me maintain scholarships which in turn were paid back to me if I didnt use the full amount each semester. So each semester, my books were paid for by the state and then I got about 2k back after each semester! This is why I PREACH to HS graduates to study study study! It's so worth it
