Just went off birth control...

Elizabeth

So, I was on Norethindrone .35mg and they wouldn't put me on anything else due to my migraines. Let me tell you, it was no joy gained weight, it lowered my libido, raised my anxiety, made my periods worse; my cramps were much worse (and they were bad already), the blood was so much more and hard to manage with tampons and nighttime pads alone. I would regularly tell my doctor about these things and he would just shrug and say " well that's just how that pill works." I would explain to him that my husband and I would like to start trying to have kids and instead he would recommend an IUD, it's like nobody would listen to me. I have new insurance now and just went in for my first check up and mentioned my issues and the answer was to try to put me depression medication. I explained again that my husband and I wanted to start trying to get pregnant and that I wanted to go off the birth control, not only because of this but because of the reactions I seem to be having. She then recommended and IUD as well. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE? WHY WONT THEY LISTEN TO ME? It's like they look at me and think "wow, tattoos, green hair, piercings let's not allow this one to breed." Does anyone else have these kinds of issues with their doctors??? So, then I had been crying from anxiety for almost 2 weeks and my husband and I decided that it was enough, if the only benefit from the pill was that I wasn't getting pregnant yet and all these issues are going on, and they won't give me any other options other than an IUD, it's time to go off the pill. So far, as for the anxiety (well I have anxiety anyways) it's lessening, my libido seems to be coming back, and I am losing weight. I haven't started a period yet (it's on it's way, I can feel it) so I can't tell how that's going to be quite yet. Why do these doctors seem to want to avoid people having children so badly?
