Hcg levels

So I'm unsure of what is going on and I'm hoping someone out there has went through this and can give me some insight. I found out I was pregnant on may 31st. I went to er that night because I started bleeding. My hcg was 10. I went to dr thinking I'm having a miscarriage that Wednesday My levels that day was 18. Then had a test every 48 hours. It kept slowly rising. Levels went from 10 to 18 to 38 to 16 to 44 and now today it was 19. I thought I was miscarrying but now I dont know what is going on. I have to go back Wednesday to see what level is again. I'm so emotionally exhausted I don't know what to think. Please someone who's been through this or may have some insight help me
