Dating

Is there anyway I can meet people without making it look like I’m trying to meet people? Lol it sounds so silly but I’m terrified to go on any dating app. I don’t want anyone I know to recognize me knowing I’m “looking for love” I was with my ex for 4.5 years and was friends for 2 years prior to that. I have this illusion for myself for the same thing to happen, meet in person , become good friends and end up getting together. I just feel too embarrassed to be recognized on any dating app
