Where should I Quarantine?

My boyfriend of 6 years’ mom has a low grade fever and has to get tested for COVID before she can go back to work. I’ve been at my boyfriend’s house almost every day for the past 2 weeks, which is how long the incubation period is for COVID. If her test comes back positive, I will need to quarantine as well because it’s likely that I have it as well since I’ve been exposed.

I live at home with my parents in a room upstairs. No one else is upstairs but me. My boyfriend lives in an apartment with his mom and dad and has his own room, but it’s small.

If I quarantine at home, I will have to stay upstairs in my room for 2 weeks alone. My parents won’t be able to see me and they will likely have to leave food for me outside my door. If I quarantine with my boyfriend and his family, I won’t be alone but I will be surrounded by people with COVID.

Where should I quarantine?
