what colour should your bloody show be ?

when i was pregnant with my son. i had two globs of brown/mucus discharge and went into labour within a few hours

on friday i had a cervical check and was told 3cm , saturday late afternoon i started having dark brown/mucus discharge. this lasted 4 days and has since turned into a light pink/mucus discharge. not every wipe might i add.

a friend told me when it’s bright red or really pink then that means baby time.

so was i not loosing my bloody show the last 4 days ? was that just discharge ? i’m very much confused
