Midwives brew?

I’m being induced on July 10th, at 37 weeks for medical reasons. I’m considering doing the brew the night before to go into labor on my own versus medical induction. Opinions?

That’s not going into labor on your own, that’s attempting to induce labor at home. So either way youd be starting labor before your body is naturally ready. Also nothing really induces labor other than actually being medically induced. So just wait.

I tried it with my 1st born when I was 17yrs old not knowing much about it other then it could help with labor. Midwife said 1 table spoon be ok but my OB doctor said absolutely a no no...I did it anyways. I was 40wks went into labor on my due date. Water broke and looked like a green/black swamp...he was born blue,lifeless, and limp. He had swallowed his 💩..the doctor told my mom and boyfriend (now my husband of almost 23yrs) to turn my head away so I couldn't see him and heard him tell my mother he's possibly already gone and may not make it.... I immediately started screaming and asking weres my son?! Why isn't he crying?! What's wrong with him?!..they were resuscitating him by pumping his little heart trying to get him to breath for what seemed like a year to me was a couple of minutes. He finally vomited up the 💩 like a small fountain. And started to cry like a kitten cry. I told the doctors what I had done with my head hung down😔. And he told me I should of listened..just cause you're sister, your mama, your cousin, your neighbor did it and said "all was fine" isn't gonna be the same case for you and your baby. Its a silent deadly killer. I was 17 young and dumb and as an adult realize my choice wasn't the right one. He's nearly 22yrs old now strong 💪 and healthy, but it was a hard lesson I had to learn the hard way. Its definitely not something I'm proud of? But telling my story gives me hope that someone out there will listen from experience. Its not worth it mama..smh really isn't. I'm pregnant with baby #10 and its not crossed my mind since that horrible moment my son was born lifeless and possibly wasn't gonna make it. Please reconsider trying this because its something I still live with and I'm extremely grateful and thankful the Lord brought him back to me. And yes its a scientific fact this causes problems if taken while pregnant I eventually learned later. Yes your baby can have a 💩 regardless of taking castor oil do to other reasons, but taking the castor oil is never a what if..its definitely a known reason and fact once taken. Don't let someone tell you they did it or know someone that did and everything is ok because its Russian roulette. Hope this post dosen't upset you definitely not my intentions just wanted to share my experience and thoughts. Bless you my dear.

If you are being included for medical reasons why would you think drinking castor oil would be safe? I think you’ve probably seen enough comments on here to realize that would he a bad choice for the safety of your child.
