I was choked pls read!

So my ex wanted to see me and make sure I was okay since he’s heard that my father passed away, my mom had breast surgery for her breast cancer and I just came out of the mental hospital... this was around 12am. So I left my house and came to his car... I brought my blanket and came in the passenger seat. He was like hey let’s go to Waffle House in a bit.. sit and talk in the car about everything. I said sure. But he started pulling on my ears!!!!!! Yes my earsss really hard to the point they were stinging and he pulled so hard he pulled my whole body. I told him MULTIPLE TIMES to STOP!!! And I told him WHAT YOU Are doing HURTS. But he did it more times. So I hit him on the arm. Then he started punching me and hitting me on the arms and my legs and my stomach actually. So I started to kick him telling him to STOP like what is wrong with you. And then he chocked me a lil bit and i bit him!!! So then he grabbed me ( he’s 6’4) and I’m 5’1 im super small... and he PUT ME IN A CHOKE HOLD I COULDNT BREATHE!! I repeat I couldn’t breathe I literally grasp for air!!! And I tapped him and scratched him until he stopped!!! And i started beating on him for self defense and he claimed it didn’t even bother him bc it didn’t work or hurt him and called my hits and punches weak. I tried to hurry and gather my phone my blanket and my shoes so I can leave. Then he tried to hug me saying let me make it up to you I said NO. And unlock the car. HE DIDNT UNLOCK the first time I asked so I yelled at him demanding To open the car door. I left the car and RAN home as fast as I can.

I couldn’t sleep... I kept crying and waking up thinking I couldn’t breathe... I don’t want to sound crazy. I didn’t tell anyone about this yet. I’m just scared too... is this assault? Is this physical abuse what do you call this!? Once I find out then will decide if i want to make a report on him.
