Stroke Recovery

Hi everyone, not to frighten anyone but I just wanted to share my story. My baby was born June 11th and all was well until I started getting horrible headaches at about 10 days postpartum. This lasted 4 days until I finally decided to go to an Urgent Care on Sunday, which was Father’s Day. As my mother in law was driving me there I started losing feeling in my right hand & my blood pressure was sky high when Urgent Care was checking me. By the time I made it to the emergency room at the hospital I had suffered a stroke on my right side of my body (which is my dominant hand).

I stayed in the hospital for 4 nights & finally got released yesterday. I have some feeling in my right side limbs but will have a lot of therapy to help with recovery ahead of me. My poor husband cannot work due to taking care of me & our two girls (2.5 yr old & 2 week old). Luckily our parents have been helping with the kiddos as much as they can. I was only allowed one visitor during visitor hours while at the hospital & thank goodness I got out when I did because due to another peak in COVID, they are no longer allowing any visitors.

I’d truly appreciate any prayers & I strongly advise anyone feeling out of the normal to get checked out. ❤️ Thanks!
