How do you get in and out of bed?

I just had a C section on the 26th, in the hospital it was easy to get in and out of bed but at home it’s a struggle my bf has to pull me up and I get like a hot burning feeling on my left side that stings for a few seconds then it goes away and I’m scared I might be messing up with my incision. I slide my legs off the bed and he pulls me up in a sitting position while I’m supporting my stomach with one hand

I either sleep on my side facing out of the bed where I can slowly push myself up or my husband pulls me up and I completely dead fish when he does because trying to give him any help was hurting. Take you pain meds for a couple weeks, I wouldn’t have survived without them. It gets better I promise.

I had the same thing! And the burning wasn’t even on my incision. I thought it was while in the hospital but it really wasn’t on it, it was my side. It goes away. Honestly you have to just keep getting out of bed even if it hurts, it’ll feel better eventually. I was visiting my baby In the NICU after being discharged and had to walk all over the place, get up and down etc despite the pain and it never made anything worse. If anything, I think it helped me recover faster

I had an emergency c-section over 2 years ago and what I did that helped me is I had a bunch of pillows behind me and under my legs and slept sleeping reclined up that way I’m not struggling trying to get up and off my bed. I slept that way for about 2 weeks.

I slept in the recliner for the first week or so! I tried sleeping in my bed the first night home and I was miserable!!

While in the hospital, you’re still on a schedule of pain medication and still a little “comfortable” because of the spinal tap. I’ve had 4 csections and it has always been that way. Easier the first couple days then harder but it gets easier. Don’t over push yourself because you will definitely feel it! Good luck!

Very uncomfortable but I slept in a sitting position for a good week 1/2. After that I still hurt but I could move and stretch a little better

Csection is not easy I had it 2 years ago with my first son and now going to have second one through csection as well the first two weeks are the worst weeks u can’t get up from anywhere if your up u can’t sit if ur laying u can’t move it’s so painful I was sleeping up with pillows on my back I would sleep only 3 to 4 hours a night for the two weeks and then it got better just hang in there and ur not doing anything wrong...

O man, I remember that feeling...so bizarre. I had that feeling for a few weeks, even trying to get off the couch. Just take it slow and try to apply pressure to your incision, like with a pillow, when you get up.

Honestly, I slept on the couch for 3 weeks. So did my husband (it’s a big couch) and our son was in his baby box or playpen beside us. 
It took 3 weeks before I was able to climb into our monster size bed.
