Hahahaha omg he is too cute! He was having a full on conversation by himself. I love it! I honestly wouldn’t be worried. He’s making a ton of different sounds which is great. He’ll be saying real words before you know it. He & Río would have a grand time babbling away together.

My little guy is the exact same. My neighbor is a retired speech therapist and says it’s totally normal. At first it’s all one sound, “dadadada” then they move to combining a few together “badagah” it’s all a part of the development of speech from what I have heard/read.

I have no idea, but that’s about where my guy is at. Very verbal all the time, just not the same language we are using. I’m not worried yet. We do a ton of reading and have conversations about everything we see as we walk or drive. It will come, just be patient. And talk to his doctor if you are worried. They see the full spectrum and can help you figure it out.

Oh my he's so cute. I was just watching a video of my son when he was this age and he was babbling and goofing around. Made NO sense.
He's 3 1/2 now and says things like "tremendous" and "i simply cannot"! To name a few😆
My ped told me there is more worry around 18mo if they aren't saying more words.

Does he understand what you are saying or asking him to do? Like does he follow basic commands you say come here or bring me that or put the book on the shelf? Etc. that’s most important at this point. I have an April 2019 girl, and she’s finally starting to actually say some words and repeat after us. 18 months is usually the sweet spot for really starting to use their vocabulary, but they understand it much earlier. You’re doing a great job, momma. And he is precious!
