Dating a different religion

Hi, so I have been talking to this guy for years, he is my best friend well within the last year he got baptized into the Mormon church. I am Christian and I know there are some similarities but a lot of differences. I was just wondering if it's possible to make it work going to 2 different church's and believing different things? Right now we are just friends but I just wanted to see if its worth looking into further❤️
