Updates on Taliah (Heart issue)

On Monday I found out some terrifying news.

My baby girl should have been gone. The main artery to her heart is completely blocked. I was told this is rare but it happens. The even more rare part is that my strong girl found a way to redirect blood flow from a cluster of veins so her heart can continue to beat.

At any time these veins become over loaded and she can die.

Tomorrow, I have a fetal heart echo and BIO ultrasound to see if and possibly when they may fail.

The goal is to take her before then but she will need open heart sugary the day she is born.

I am 26 weeks, 27 on Sunday. She is measuring 2.3 pounds.

They are expecting to take her no sooner than 28 but hoping for 30 or longer.

TOMORROW I will have all the answers to when, how, and why this is happening.
