Failed induction of four days
I had a full term 40 weeks healthy pregnancy, baby was measuring 7 pounds. I went in.. to schedule and induction when I was 39 weeks and 6 days. I was in the hospital for 4 days due to induction not progressing...mind you I was only 2 cm dilated by myself since 37 weeks so I thought I was going to deliver soon. But boy was I wrong:( they had started me on pitocin, made me walk, rest, use the yoga and peanut ball. And the peanut ball gave me consistent contractions, they were all a minute apart...but pitocin would then go away like they never administered it. I progressed to only 3 cm when they decided to put a foley balloon inside of me to dilate faster. I dilated to 5 but I was already 40+4 so I was exhausted as you can imagine. I never dilated anymore and I asked to have a c section . He was born on April 2nd 2020 at 9:05 pm weighing exactly 7 pounds,6 oz’s and 20 and a half inches long facing upward looking at the doctors . I had my first stool and first shower by myself the next morning , I could sit and walk a couple hours after the surgery. I got to pee 4 hours after they took out the catheter and I healed super fast. By 2 weeks pp I felt brand new with no pains I had a failed induction but I’m proud of my choice . I now miss pregnancy
