Has anyone else been told at there 12week scan the sex of there baby?

I was at my 12 week dating scan yesterday, and Im actually 13 weeks as she calculated and she said do you want me to tell you what I think it is and I said go on then and she went don’t buy anything for it yet tho until ur gender scan and then she told me yeah that’s definitely a boy she could she his parts but I was thinking how can you tell this early ? Like has this ever happened to anyone else ? Or it’s been wrong ?

Its way too early to tell yet. 16wks is the earliest

I have found out at 14 weeks with all my kids and it’s always been correct. This was 14 weeks.

Genitalia has begun forming so it is possible to see. However sometimes girls can be mistaken for boys that early on. I’m happy the tech at least advised you NOT to buy anything gender wise until your official gender scan just in case though to be safe.

My OBGYN said she could tell at the 12 week ultrasound and asked if we wanted to know.  She said she was sure as it was very clear on the ultrasound.  She was absolutely right.  We had a boy.

14 weeks is the absolute earliest

It is possible to see already, but it is hard to tell for sure. So usually techs don't take a guess at it, because it is easy to be mistaken.

At 14weeks scan she told me her best guest was it’s a girl but to wait for my anatomy scan and my 20 week scan it was confirmed! So your best bet is to wait it out until your anatomy ultrasound!

Mine was 13 week blood test I also did genetics test and chromosomes which come perfect
