Read below for the story/timeline:

10AM - On Wednesday at 38+1 I had a visit with my OB. I was 2 cm dilated. She offered a membrane sweep and I accepted.

1PM - Mild contractions started, back labor. No bloody show or any other signs. They were 10-15 minutes apart.

MIL drove to our house to watch our son.

9PM - contractions were still mild but closer to 7 minutes apart. I went to bed.

2:30Am - Woke up and felt really uncomfortable so I started walking around the house.

4:30am - contractions were moderate and 3-5 minutes apart. Woke up my husband.

5am - (Thursday) went to the hospital

6am - 4 cm dilated and was sent home / out to walk around to further progress labor before admission (they said since I’m 38 weeks, they didn’t want to admit me and then have labor stall or have to give pitocin. If I was 39 weeks then I would’ve been admitted)

7am - intensity of contractions went up 3-4 minutes apart

8am - back to the hospital, 6.5 cm dilated, active labor started with intense contractions

9:30am - received epidural, nurse said I was close to the transition phase

12 pm - dr broke my water to help things continue to progress, 8cm dilated

Got to rest, take some naps, relax (Thank you epidural)

3:20Pm - pushed out baby in 2 pushes!

Overall I’m super happy with my experience. It was completely different than my first (water broke and went to the hospital immediately with him plus pushing for 3.5 hours).
